I personally just went ahead and got cobra spy 4.85 while I wait for Rebug 4.85 REX to come out but I don't really need the toolbox for anything anymore because I manually bruteforced all of my save files to work on any user account. Unfortunately I don't know enough to give you any other advice. On the other hand, if it's just trying to update the game itself then it's perfectly safe to do so. Though I imagine you're using 4.84 Rebug REX for the debug features. If it is indeed wanting you to update your system firmware despite the spoofing, you may just have to download a 4.85 CFW.

It's asking you to update your system firmware to play the game? Are you sure it's not trying to download an update for the game itself? I apologize if that's coming off as condescending, it's just odd that it would ask you that especially if you've successfully spoofed your firmware to 4.85. whenever I log in to the aa account (now renamed as something else after the console restarted), I get this error message '80028C0B', is this normal? The console still logs into this user and functions normally I have ran ReactPSN already (aa account) and when that didn't work, I launched PSNPatch to install the exdata files through it (pressing L1). I have entered my alternate PSN account on it already and it still wouldn't install anything, telling me to update or giving me an error message. I understand it is an installer, but I have no idea on how to get it to work and start installing things. However, upon launching the game, it tells me to 'Press circle to sign-in and begin installing content'. So I got a PS3 recently (last week) and installed 4.84 rebug on it. Sorry if this has been mentioned before but I have looked online everywhere and still can't find anything about it
